The new Shanghai SIPG manager Andre Vilas-Boas says that he is looking forward to new challenges in China. The expectations are sky high on the manager and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the league.
Shanghai SIPG was managed by Eriksen for the past two years and he finished second and third respectively. With the new manager in charge, they won’t be happy with anything less than title this time.
In spite of spending big in the past few seasons, Shanghai SIPG hasn’t managed to dethrone Guangzhou’s domination in the top. Shanghai already have some high profile players in their ranks and a few are expected to join in the near future.
AVB also told that he will focus more on the Continental Club Championship which is a league featuring major Asian club teams. The manager told that he is excited to experience the football in the Asian region of the world.
AVB had already managed Porto, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur and this venture should be considerably easy for him. But whether he will be able to reach all the expectations that is tagged on him is doubtful.
