Former Arsenal star Samir Nasri recently answered a few questions about his former club in an exclusive interview. The French midfielder is hated heavily among the Gunner faithfuls for the way he left the club for money.
After leaving Arsenal, Nasri won the premier league trophy in his first year with the Citizens, but his career graph went down steeply. Over a course of few seasons, he became a regular in bench and now is in a loan stint with La Liga side Sevilla.
Nasri told that his former club never signed big names to strengthen their team during his tenure. The player also spoke about the reason for Arsenal’s inability to sign big names.
Nasri stated that moving to Emirates stadium was a big move for the club and that curbed Arsenal’s transfer activities. Samir also mentioned that the club owners never wanted to be in huge debts and they opted financial stability ahead of titles in those lean patches.
When asked about the few trophies that Arsenal won in FA cups and Community Shield in the recent years, Nasri told that every trophies count and winning one is always a good feeling.
