Everton manager Ronald Koeman is making some steady moves to sign Morgan Schneiderlein from Manchester United after his initial bid for rejected. The player had already handed in a transfer request to his manager Jose Mourinho.
The 27 year old is clearly not happy at Old Trafford after just 11 minutes of total action in the league. Mourinho gave him just three starts in the whole of this season which is a worrisome position for the midfielder.
The player had already played under Koeman in Southampton and it won’t be difficult for the Toffees manager to convince Schneiderlin to join them. With the initial bid of 19 million rejected by the Red Devils, Koeman is expected to make a revised bid of 24 million in the next few days.
The Red Devils will be ready to leave him for anything more than 22 million as he is not a part of Mourinho’s plans. Schneiderlin will become the second player to join the Toffees in this January transfer market as they have already signed Ademola Lookmann.
Other than Morgan, the Toffees are also interested in landing Memphis Depay in Goodison Park.
