Kante in Conte’s radar

Antonio Conte is ready to make his second signing of the summer. The Italian coach wants to bring N’golo Kante of France to Chelsea FC.

Kante is one of the top performers of last season and had a good hand in his club’s title. The player has finished his national duties a few days back and now returned to pre-season training with Leicester City.

The Foxes has expressed that they are ready to accept offers for this French who they bought for a fee of around 5 million. Any team who are ready to trigger the release clause of him which is 20 million euros can try signing the player.

Chelsea will be facing competitions from a cash rich Chinese club in Shanghai. However, Kante is clear that he doesn’t want any move outside Europe. The other team who had Kante in their radar is PSG. Blanc wanted to add him to his team. But, the interest dropped as soon as Blanc stepped down and a new manager took over PSG.

The initial bid for the French is expected to reach the Foxes in a day or two. If Chelsea manages to sign this 25 year old, he will be a vital cog in their wheel for the next season.
Kante is a work horse who can perform week in and week out. He started 33 games for Leicester last season and came as a sub in four games.

He also had some impressive numbers and stood as one of the best midfielders of the season. Can he produce another good season in a different club?
